yann tiersen/asobi seksu @ the el rey

here's a winning formula:

a couple of joints + an asobi seksu show = win!

I am so happy.
i was able to meet Yuki Chikudate( !!!!!!!) She was amazingly adorable/beautiful in person. I got her to write my name on my Citrus copy. and I felt complete.

The one on the left was from the troubadour show and its already fcked up since it's a size too big plus there's a bleach stain. The one on the right is from yesterday night which is a perfect size and so far stain-free. win! I'm thinking of cutting out the print from the fcked up shirt and patching it on to a hoodie.

the Asobi Seksu set was amazing but i longed for more because they were only opening, while Yann Tiersen( the guy who created the music for the cute, French film Amelie ) was headlining.

Asobi played a decent amount of songs from their latest album, Hush, and from their previous album, Citrus. Like their last show, they weren't afraid to hold back and just went completely crazy as Yuki's hair swayed violently back and forth and back and forth to the roaring guitars and pounding drums. I, of course, got so lost and I felt "one with the music." Mmmmm. Greatest feeling in the entire world. It was awesome. Then of course, they ended with Yuki on the drums at the end of their song Red Sea. I believe it's a tradition for them. here's the clip.

Asobi Seksu set: 9/10

Yann Tiersen was very good. I'm definitely going to check more of his stuff out. I'm far too lazy and I don't really care too much about writing a lengthy description of his set so I'll just say I was pleased.

Yann Tiersen 8/10

thanks, vicky! :)

Whistle through your window, we act the same as you
