I cried

just as I have already expressed succinctly to Sandy in a text message, "Slumdog Millionaire made me cry!" My first movie in '09 and my first tears in a movie theater. So far, this year is going great. hahaa.

I really don't know what to write. I was moved completely by this movie. I really didn't expect to cry. I was on the verge of bawling.(during the last five minutes of the film) Aaaah. I'm a sucker for romances. Don't get me wrong, it's not just a love story, there is a lot this movie has to offer. There are some similarities between Slumdog and City of God but I personally, prefer Slumdog Millionaire. I seriously need to check out more of Danny Boyle's stuff. Beautiful! Definitely top 10 maybe even top 5 material. I don't know, man..just watch it.

why i loved it:

- incredibly raw
- great visuals/cinematography
- beautiful/awesome soundtrack
- compelling story
- great acting
- not a single boring moment
- gorgeous Freida Pinto
- THE ENDING

movie brilliance: 9/10

Trailer:

WATCH IT!

AUDIO:

M.I.A. - Paper Planes

Could this song be any more fitting for the movie? It almost seemed like the song was made only for the scenes it was played in. Great tune, there's a 99.9% chance that you've already heard it.

Sigur Rós - Hoppipolla

Has anybody else heard an influx of Sigur Rós' stuff lately? I heard Saeglopur in a Prince of Persia video game trailer. Some original tracks in the awesome Danish movie, After The Wedding (watch it too!). Now the song Hippopolla's in the trailer of this movie. Okay, its not exactly an influx, but I experienced hearing them all in the same time span of a week or so.
Anyway, beautiful song, great madeup language and nice soothing vocals. They're great and Icelandic. Check them out.

It is written.
