The curious case of disappointment

Saw Benjamin Button with Elvia a couple of days ago and I'm not entirely sure why Brad Pitt was nominated for a Best Actor award for this role. The majority of the film he just stares, smirks, and says something charming that makes female/gay viewers sigh and melt in their seat. Anyway, I guess after watching Slumdog Millionaire every other movie you watch after it just doesn't measure up. Don't get me wrong, the movie wasn't terrible (evident in the fact that the flick's nominated for a Golden Globe best picture award) but it just didn't meet my high expectations. Would've preferred the absence of the lamezors/cheesy/totally cliché scenes of the dying old woman in the hospital and her daughter narrating the life of Benjamin by reading his diary to her.

7/10

OH! Dancer in the Dark came in from Netflix today! I heard it was quite depressing and I've always had a strange attraction to Bjork. SO looking forward to watching that.

Oh, today I also scoured for that damn soundtrack for Slumdog Millionaire. I tried Borders and those bastards didn't even know if they had it and just assumed it hadn't been shipped in yet. Then Barnes & Noble( which I now totally prefer over Borders) and sadly, they were sold out. Target didn't have it, no surprise there. I'll try again tomorrow. I'm trying to change my downloading-songs/albums-online-for-free ways. Thanks a lot, Sandy.

I need help finding my major. I decided it's not going to be photography anymore. Film? Psychology? Screenwriting? English? I've been giving architecture a good thought. It never really crossed my mind until I took a beginning arch class and was just completely inspired by my professor. He always had the best lectures that usually pertained to being happy and finding yourself . He said, "To be truly happy in life, you have to find something greater than yourself, and devote your life to it entirely." He's probably one of the most influential and coolest people I've known and I don't even remember his name.

I am officially unemployed and i am done with this entry.
