chromeo @ Key Club

My first show of the year, hopefully out of many. What can I say, it was a great set. The club was absolutely packed but thankfully not entirely infested by hipsters, but rather by just your typical college students and show goers. Sandy and I unsuccessfully tried to squeeze through the crowd to get to the center of the dance floor. But we found ourselves a cozy little spot on the side and basically had no choice but to reside there. Chromeo announced sometime at the start of their set that they would play the entire Fancy Footwork album, which just had everyone in the club jumping up and down with excitement.

I remember saying earlier that I wasn't in a dancing a mood, but once I stepped inside the venue and Chromeo went up on stage, I found it extremely hard not to dance. So I did.I almost felt like I was in some sort of a cult since the crowd continuously kept chanting "Chromeo! Oooooh Oh!" Anyway, these guys are great live, they surely know how to please a crowd and at one point they even covered Journey's classic, Don't Stop Believin'. That was just absolute gold. I danced, I laughed, I screamed, I two stepped, and ultimately I got beer in my shoes. Thanks a lot, Chromeo.
